After you've determined what vehicles you'd like to bid on, it's time to submit preliminary bids or join some live auctions!
You don't need to be logged in to attend an auction, but you will need to sign in (or register) in order to bid. Once you've done this, click on the Auctions tab to see a list of Today's Auctions, where you can jump directly into live ongoing auctions Upcoming Auctions and the Auctions Calendar. There are a handful of other entry points for auctions as well, including the Copart homepage, Member Dashboard and individual Locations pages when there are auctions running.
Ultimately, you'll be directed to the Auctions Dashboard, where Premium Members can add as many auctions as are running at that particular time (nonmembers and Basic Members may only view one auction at a time). This Dashboard, in essence, is your auction playground where you can minimize or maximize auction windows, place bids, reorganize your dashboard by using the drag-and-drop feature, and experience the excitement of winning. The Auction Dashboard is powered by our revolutionary VB3 platform.
Joining an auction from your mobile device is just as easy as it is from your computer. Using Copart Mobile, tap on Today's Auctions, and look for the red “Auction in Progress” notice. One more tap on one of these live sales, and you're placed directly into the auction. Just remember to sign in if you plan to bid on any of the lots. If you tap on an upcoming auction instead of a live auction, you'll be directed to that location's Sale List to preview the lots coming up for auction soon.
You'll find that some of our sales contain multiple lanes, which are subsets of all the items up for bid during any given live auction. The number of lanes concurrently running depends on the sale's inventory size. Larger sales will have several lanes, whereas sales with minimal inventory will have fewer lanes.
Please be informed that Middle East auctions run in their local currencies. Oman - Omani rial (OMR), Bahrain - Bahraini dinar (BHD), UAE - Dirhams (AED). Please make sure you understand the currency conversion rates for each currency before you make any binding bids.
